There’s one place to go to this season for all your sweet cravings. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s Christmas specials are always worth looking forward to, whether you’re angling for a holiday- themed drink or some festive bites. This year, new festive beverages join long-time favourites like the Red Velvet Cocoa and Peppermint Mocha drinks. Here’s a look at what the coffee chain’s got for you this Christmas!

TAKE A SWIG

Choose from one of four festive drinks now available on the seasonal menu. The Double Chocolate Strawberry Ice Blended (small, $7.60) or Latte (small, $7.20) is a brand-new drink that’s an interpretation of the delicious indulgence of double chocolate and sweet strawberries.

Other options are holiday standards like the comforting Winter Dream Tea Latte (small, $6), a fragrant blend of spices, tea and vanilla powder; Red Velvet Ice Blended (small, $7.40), a creamy take on the ﬂavours of a red velvet cake; and the decadent and refreshing Peppermint Mocha (small, $7.20).

HAVE SOME CAKE

If you need cakes for holiday parties, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has a selection of crowd-pleasers for any festive occasion. The Classic Log Cake ($49 for 1.2kg) is a delectable whirl of chocolate mousse and vanilla-ﬂavoured Swiss roll coated in dark chocolate ganache. Otherwise, have a white Christmas in the form of the Blackberry White Chocolate Meringue ($68 for 2.3kg), a sponge cake with blackberry and white chocolate ﬁlling.

For palates that prefer less sweetness, consider the Salted Caramel Cheesecake ($65 for 2.2kg), a sweet-and- salty twist on The Coffee Bean’s best-selling Chicago Cheesecake; or the Nutty Fruit Cake ($55 for 1.9kg), a zesty treat packed with dried fruit, raisins, walnuts and glazed cherries.

On the off-chance you’ve maxed out on cakes, try either of two holiday tarts: Minty Chocolate ($55 for 1.7kg) and Almond Linzer ($55 for 1.5kg). The former is a classic chocolate and peppermint combination ﬁt for the holidays, while the latter is a crumbly pastry made with almonds and raspberry jam, covered with a decorative lattice crust.

SWEET GIFTS

Take a break from hosting and bring a gift to a party! These festive classics are always sure hits with friends and loved ones who have a sweet tooth. Pastries like Christmas Stollen ($49 for 750g) and Panettone ($52 for 1.5kg) are time- tested and widely loved for their ﬂuffy texture and for being richly ﬁlled with fruits and nuts.
