After it debuted nine years ago, Urban Decay’s Naked eyeshadow set ($71) quickly became a byword for beauty essential with its 12 flattering-for-all, warm shades in various finishes. Then, the brand yanked it from shelves last year. Bad retail move? No, it was just making it even better. Relaunching Feb 28, the updated palette features pans of different sizes with the most popular colours – the pale ivory Bribe and matte nude Blur – in the largest ones located at both ends. Practicality and ergonomics aside, it’s done away with a brush because, well, don’t we all already own one? This is the sort of conscious design we should buy into. – SK
