I’ll be meeting friends I haven’t seen for a year. How can fillers help my sunken cheeks and eyes, and dark circles?

By using soft gels containing hyaluronic acid (HA), we can add volume and stretch the skin so the undereye area does not appear hollow. When sunken areas are filled in, the dark circles also look less apparent. To boost the results, we can combine fillers with the Elite Eye Treatment, which uses radio frequency energy to tighten skin for an immediate lift. This combo helps patients look younger and less tired.

To target sunken cheeks, HA fillers can sculpt the face to give it more definition. We may also offer collagen-boosting fillers, which help promote collagen production over time. Dermal fillers would cost from $968 to $1,288 per area, depending on the type used.

My frown and marionette lines make me look so angry and sullen. What can I do?

Botulinum toxin injections can relax the face muscles so they’re unable to contract, which stops the muscles from making folds in the skin. Over time, existing lines or wrinkles also fade.

The latest trend is Baby Botox, used as a preventive measure, and great if you want to look more refreshed and approachable.

For marionette lines, the treatment depends on how you hold your face at rest. If the mouth corners turn downwards, dermal fillers can create an upturned mouth. For severe cases, we may add Ultherapy for more significant lifting, along with collagen-boosting fillers.

What one should note is that the art of botulinum toxin treatments is to achieve the most natural-looking results. It must be placed in the right muscle, at the correct place, and in an ideal dose, by an experienced doctor.

I’m in my early 40s and want to get rid of my freckles and dark patches.

A popular celebrity laser, Picosure, is one of the star laser treatments at Prive. It is clinically proven to lighten unwanted melanin (the pigment that causes dark spots) and stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin, without the pain or downtime of other laser treatments.

Picosure uses pressure waves, not heat, to target melanin. Ultra-short laser pulses break down dark spots into dust-like particles, giving improved skin in a few sessions.

A doctor will first assess your skin, then customise the laser settings and mode of laser to achieve optimal results. Prive’s doctors are trained to tailor the treatment process (using products, oral supplements, chemical peels or lasers) according to the types of pigmentation, to help you achieve flawless, younger-looking skin, with better texture. I’d also recommend using a vitamin C serum and sunscreen to protect the skin.
