The Facial-Meets-Cleanser: Fresh Vitamin Nectar Vitamin C Glow Powder, $66 for 12 sets

Each “set” is made up of two sachets of powder: one with 20 per cent active vitamin C for a boost in radiance; the other a blend of vitamins E and B5, minerals and citrus fruit extracts to exfoliate, soften and revitalise. Pour both into hand, mix in a bit of water to create a foam, then massage onto skin before washing off to reveal instantly glowing skin. It’s gentle enough for daily use – or just twice weekly.

The Insider’s Favourite Serum: Cle de Peau Beaute Le Serum, $780, or Clarins Double Serum, $125
The former is a cult favourite now available in an 80ml bottle, so you can get double its goodness. It still works on the same, simple premise: give skin cells a stable environment to regenerate healthily. The latter, is made up of one-third oil and two-thirds water – the same make-up as our skin – for better absorption. The result: a brighter, softer and more even skin tone.

The Age-Defying Eye Cream: Clarins Multi-Active Eye, $88

Expect a double shot of antiageing goodness in this updated formula. Myrothamnus extract reduces the look of fine lines, while encapsulated teasel extract delivers its free-radical-fighting, revitalising properties directly to key cells. The new cryo-metallictip applicator means a more ergonomic application to de-puff and brighten skin around the eyes.

The Improved Star Moisturiser: Chanel Le Lift Creme, $226, or La Prairie Skin Caviar Luxe Cream, $740

Not that they needed improving, but these reformulated anti-ageing creams now include new active ingredients. The former uses alfalfa botanical concentrate, which supposedly plumps the epidermis and dermis layer, softening the look of fine lines, and boosts collagen production. The latter combines the brand’s Exclusive Cellular Complex and a new Caviar Premier ingredient to firm and lift sagging complexions.

The Modern Day Sunscreen: Supergoop! 100% Mineral Matte Screen SPF40, $56

This multitasking sunscreen contains butterfly bush extract, which means it also promises to protect skin against blue light emitted from electronic devices, and not just UV rays. Available in one universal tinted shade, it can work like a primer to smooth skin surface and prolong makeup wear. Other goodies? Argan oil to hydrate, white mulberry root to brighten and improve the look of uneven skin tone, plus its ultralight texture means you can even use it without foundation.

The Foolproof Foundation: Cle de Peau Beaute Radiant Cushion Foundation, $130, Shu Uemura Lightbulb Cushion Foundation, $78, or Chanel Vitalumiere Foundation, $92
What do all of these have in common? The shared claim of imparting a radiant, luminous glow. Whether you prefer using cushion makeup or the traditional liquid formulation, each one holds light-reflecting properties (Shu Uemura even has Japanese rice to prevent dullness) to brighten complexions. Also included is a slew of hydrating ingredients to keep skin moisturised (Cle de Peau Beaute’s Hydrating Essence Complex, for example, seals in moisture and prevents dryness) and provide natural-looking coverage.

The Eyebrow Perfector: Benefit Brow Contour Pro, $57

We’re all for smart and portable packaging, and this smart brow tool (it works like a multi-coloured pen), comes with two brown shades to fill in your eyebrows, and two other lighter colours to highlight and accentuate your arch for cleaner, more defined brows.

The Miracle Mascara: Nars Climax Mascara, $42
Because a flick is enough to instantly brighten one’s eyes and overall look. (PS: Super long, preferably black lashes are also back in trend.) This creamy, weightless formula is formulated with a Lash Moisture Complex that lifts and builds lashes without clumps or stiffness. A full-bodied brush with ribbed bristles coats each lash from root-to-tip for an intense, volumising effect without smudging or budging.

The Lipstick That’ll Last All Day: Dior Ultra Rouge, $50
Available in 26 rich, luminous shades, this lippie models itself after tattoos (okay, sorta); its semimatte finish reportedly able to power through 12 hours. A polymer enriched with plant oil offers deep hydration so it feels like second skin the whole time.
