The right hairstyle can do more than make your locks rock. According to J’s Salon, it can even help you achieve the Korean face shape you crave.

The trend for the v-shaped face is showing no signs of abating. It’s said that the heart-shaped visage with a pointed chin can make you look daintier and more feminine. The problem? Most of us don’t naturally have a v-shaped face, and we don’t necessarily want to commit to aesthetic procedures to achieve the look.
According to June Ng, styling director of J’s Salon, she just might have the solution. She has developed a hairstyle that makes your face look v-shaped in just three steps - cut, perm and colour.

It starts with the cut, which frames the face to soft en a heavy jawline. Layers are added to give volume round the crown,  giving you an immediate heart-shaped face. The stylist then perms hair to boost the roots on the crown and at the back of the head. Finally, there’s the colour. Lighter colours are used on the crown of the head to give yet more volume, with darker hues around the face. Highlights gives nuance and brings everything to life.
