Halloween won’t be complete without parties, costumes and sweets. But if you’re celebrating at home with guests, you can’t just serve store-bought snacks – your family and friends deserve a one-of-a-kind confection they can happily (and proudly) eat, share and give away. We guarantee they’ll get a kick out of these wickedly cute chocolate figurines!

Joseph Yeo, executive chef of multiconcept eatery SPRMRKT and partner chef of Bosch, makes it easy for you. All the ingredients in this recipe are quick to find at your nearest supermarket and baking-goods shop, and it only takes minutes to prepare. What’s more, you don’t have to bust out complicated baking equipment. You don’t even need an oven! Expect oohs and aahs from the adults and little ones once they see – and bite – into these sweet treats.

Making desserts (or any type of dish, for that matter) is a breeze with the Bosch PBD7331SG 78.5cm Black Tempered Glass Gas Hob. Be it melting, stewing, simmering, frying or sauteing, you can depend on this gas hob to do all the work for you. It features a pan support system for accommodating different-sized pans, pots and woks, plus a knob with a 230-degree rotating angle for easy controlling and adjusting of the flame. And if the flame dies out, an enhanced safety gas valve ensures that any gas leakage will be cut off.

HALLOWEEN HAZELNUT FLAVOURED GHOULS
Makes 8 to 10 pieces
Prep time: 15 minutes

Cooking time: 90 minutes

Ingredients:

• 300g Milk Couverture Chocolate Coins
• 200g Nutella
• 180g Chocolate Krispies
• 60g White Couverture Chocolate Coins

• Decorative sprinkles

Directions:

Fill half a medium-sized pot with water and bring to a simmer. Place a metal mixing bowl over the pot and add the Milk Couverture Chocolate Coins and Nutella to melt.

Once the chocolate and Nutella are melted and smooth, remove the bowl from the heat (be careful of the steam) and add the Chocolate Krispies. Pour this chocolate mixture into Halloween-themed moulds. Use toothpicks to fill the edges in the moulds, then set aside to cool for about an hour.

Unmould the cooled ghouls.

Fill half a small pot with water and bring to a simmer. Place a small metal mixing bowl over it and add the White Couverture Chocolate Coins to melt. Once melted, transfer the mixture into a small squeeze bottle or piping bag to fill the ghouls’ eyes and mouth. Decorate with decorative sprinkles.
