After opening five restaurants in less than two years, restaurateur Beppe de Vito shows no signs of slowing down. The latest, Amo, is headed by Federico Schiraldi and Mary Cirillo from Il Lido Group’s Osteria Art and Aura.

The pair learnt pizza-making in Puglia and the result is a wood-fired crust that is crispy, yet not too thin. Go for signature toppings such as bone marrow with wild garlic pesto and anchovy salsa verde. There’s also pasta. For two, the spaghettoni with whole Boston lobster and tarragon is an impressive sight.

The 90-seater restaurant boasts a private dining room for 12 and a terrace that can fit 40. The wine list favours Italian vintages. Otherwise, the cocktail bar provides heady alternatives, such as the boulevardier with lapsang souchong-infused whisky, Campari and vermouth.
