SERVES 4.

INGREDIENTS.

3 tbsp unsalted butter 1 Kelly’s German Bierschinken* Cold-cut Ham, cut into 1cm cubes 3 tbsp McCormick Garlic Powder 3 tbsp McCormick Minced Onions 1 tbsp plain flour 2 cups Swanson Clear Chicken Broth 2 cups water 400g Aunt Bessie’s Rich and Creamy Homestyle Mash* Salt and pepper, to taste.

*Available at Cold Storage supermarkets.

DIRECTIONS

1 Melt the butter in a pot until it is frothy but not browned. Add the ham, garlic powder, minced onions and flour. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until the ham is browned (about 5min).

2 Add the broth and water. Bring to the boil and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 15 min. If you want a clearer broth, skim off the foam.

3 Add the mash and simmer for another 15min. Season with salt and pepper, and serve hot.
