Chocs Round The Clock

You know dark chocolates are good for you (they’re full of antioxidants and feel-good phenylethylamine), but how do you get more in your diet? Here’s one way for each meal of the day!

TIP:

Make sure to always choose dark chocolates with high cocoa content, so you can reap the most benefits.

BREAKFAST – Skip the sugar and grate a few shards of dark, unsweetened chocolate over your morning cereal to liven up your breakfast.

LUNCH – Other than sneaking in some chocolate treats after your meal, why not try finishing your lunch with a chocolate banana smoothie?

TEATIME – Your options here are plenty (chocolate tarts and muffins come to mind), but snacking on a bar of dark chocolate is just as satisfying.

DINNER – Most of us enjoy a serving of fruits after dinner, but how about dipping them in melted chocolate (see How To Make Chocolate Fondue).

SUPPER – A cup of hot cocoa is the best thing to send you off to slumberland!

HOW TO MAKE CHOCOLATE FONDUE

Combine ½ bar dark chocolate with ½ cup milk or cream in a small bowl. Place bowl in a simmering water bath or microwave on medium for about 2 mins. Stir until smooth and keep heated on low when dipping.
