DUTCH YACHT BUILDER AMELS AND DAMEN launches Joy Rider, the first 46-metre YS 4508 from the Damen Yacht Support range.

Following outfitting at the Damen yard in the Netherlands, Joy Rider will be available for immediate delivery in September when it joins the fleet of 15 Damen Yacht Supports built so far, and will be showcased at the Monaco Yacht Show (September 25-28).

True to its name, the design is perfect for the owner who wants to enjoy amazing adventures, undersea treasures and come face-to-face with Earth’s most spectacular wildlife.

Joy Rider offers a fun and flexible configuration with comfortable accommodation and lots of room for high-end toys, submarines and tenders. The main workhorse is an impressive high-performance 6.7-tonne deck crane, making use of the aft deck space for tenders and toys.

The blend of superyacht support and stand-alone functionality includes outdoor sun and shade on the bridge deck, a spacious main deck lounge, accommodation for six guests and seven crew, touch-and-go helipad and high levels of comfort thanks to zero-speed stabilisers and the yacht’s patented Sea Axe pedigree.

The rugged exterior design with a stylish paint scheme encloses an accomplished yachting platform including wet exhaust for all engines, smooth power management, generators in sound enclosures, fan-coil based HVAC system, watermaker and large tank capacities. The support yacht also has large cool and freeze stores for provisions, a petrol store and multifunctional stores.
