A new skin threat in the form of blue light calls for a sunscreen with well-rounded protection
The founders of local beauty brand Crystal Tomato ® wanted to create a sunscreen that could be clinically proven to protect against blue light. That vision took them five years and at least 30 product revisions to realise. The result is Crystal Tomato ® Beyond Sun Protection.

Crystal Tomato ® Beyond Sun Protection is the only sunscreen clinically proven to offer 54.1 per cent protection against blue light, in addition to UVA and UVB protection. The founders of the brand say this blue light protection value is a medically-proven rating that is extremely difficult to achieve. The process involved 22 testers using the sunscreen. The pigmentation caused by blue light after one hour of exposure was then measured, together with the level of protection the sunscreen provided.

One highlight of Beyond Sun Protection is its moisturiser-like texture. It glides onto skin well and sets to a non-greasy, “dry touch” finish that doesn’t interfere with makeup.
