Your favourite perfume might not be everyone else’s.

Your favourite perfume might not be everyone else’s. The ones here are universally pleasing – they don’t “pollute” another person’s air, leave no scent trail behind and cause no headaches or wrinkled brows.

1 Salvatore Ferragamo’s Punta Ala EDP ($400) reminds us of a Mediterranean scrub – a calming concoction of Italian citrus fruits, flowers and woods. It has bergamot, jasmine and cedar wood.

6 A sensuous bouquet of white tuberose flowers is what Miu Miu’s Fleur D’Argent EDP (from $114) is, artfully balanced with musk accords.

7 Those who love warm, smoky scents will enjoy Tom Ford’s Oud Wood EDP ($350), a winning concoction of oud wood, sandalwood, rosewood, tonka beans and vanilla.

8 The first word that comes to mind with this: pure. Eight & Bob’s Annicke 1 EDP ($265) gently caresses you with lily of the valley, jasmine and white musk.

9 For a sparkling citrus scent, Estee Lauder’s Beautiful Belle EDP (from $92) is a good bet. It has lychee and gardenia.
