RMK’s primers and foundations deliver a flawless look all day, so you look fresh and glowing, but still like you.

Women who’ve really aced their bases don’t get compliments on their makeup – they get compliments on their skin. The perfect look is fresh, glowing and flawless – the kind of makeup that lets you express the real you.

RMK achieves this with both its primers and foundations, now in revamped packaging with a handy pump to celebrate the brand’s 20th anniversary.

The range of  base makeup comprises four primers and four foundations that suit every skin type and allow you to choose the finish you want – dewy, matte or anything in between. So take your pick, and let the compliments roll in.

GET IT RIGHT

1 Always use good skincare before applying makeup.

2 Use different-hued colour-correcting primers to fix different problems – for instance, use a green one on angry blemishes to reduce redness and conceal pimple scars.

3 Always try a new foundation on your jawline, not your hand, and leave the store to check how it looks in daylight.

RMK Makeup Base

($57 for 30ml) has a light, smooth texture and is designed to restore skin clarity. Made of 70 percent water, it hydrates skin while giving a smooth, even finish, imbuing skin with radiance.

RMK Basic Control Color

($30 for 10g) delivers true flawlessness to all skin types. The colour-correcting primer comes in four hues: Silver to boost luminosity; Purple, designed to reduce dullness and improve clarity; Green to tone down redness; and Coral for heightened radiance. The gel texture works to minimise the look of  pores for a perfectly smooth complexion. With SPF20/PA++.

Tip: The green primer is ideal for toning down angry-looking acne scars.

RMK Long Lasting UV

($57 for 30ml) offers protection against UV rays with SPF45/PA++++ and keeps oil under control to ensure your makeup always looks fresh.

RMK Liquid Foundation

($70 for 30ml) is the brand’s first foundation and has SPF14/PA++ for sun protection. With a formula that is 60 percent water, it feels weightless, but still delivers medium coverage and a clear, dewy finish. It’s water-resistant, so it lasts and lasts. In nine shades.

RMK Creamy Polished Base N

($58 for 30g) is designed to diffuse light and give your foundation extra staying power. The three different-sized powder pigments in this creamy primer work together to smooth skin, while the moisturising ingredients and rosemary extract work on reducing the look of  pores. Skin looks polished, dewy, lustrous and clear all day. With SPF14/PA++. In three shades.

Tip: Apply primer on the forehead and cheeks first, then use the fingertips to smooth it over the eye area and the sides of  the nose.

RMK Creamy Foundation N

($82 for 30g) has argan oil and shea butter to firm skin and make it more supple. And thanks to the brand’s Stretch Film complex, the cream foundation, which has a melt-into-skin texture, moves with your skin as your facial expression changes, ensuring a lasting smooth finish. In seven shades.

RMK UV Liquid Foundation

($70 for 30ml) offers higher sun protection with SPF50/PA+++, is sweat-and sebum-resistant – perfect for Singapore’s humid weather – and is formulated with a moisturiser to keep skin hydrated. The result? Supple skin that looks naturally clear and dewy. In seven shades.

RMK Gel Creamy Foundation

($89 for 30g) has the texture of a gel but offers the coverage of  a cream. With SPF24/PA++, it has royal jelly extract and hyaluronic acid to hydrate the skin and lock in moisture, as well as a light powder that reportedly absorbs sebum for a lasting shine-free finish. The promised result: bright, clear, radiant and balanced skin. In seven shades.

Tip: Apply just a thin layer of  foundation to begin with, then build it up. Add concealer only to the areas where you need extra coverage.
