How to get an afro from stick-straight Asian hair
● Definitely not by yourself, regardless of what Youtube says. This can only be achieved at a salon. Fiona’s ’do took four hours.
● What’s involved: painstakingly wire-braiding the hair in small sections to create supertight curls. A volumiser is sprayed at the roots to give lift and more volume, followed by lots more hairspray to set.
