C’EST SI BON
When in Paris, visit Chaumet’s “Autrement” exhibition at 165 Boulevard Saint-Germain. On display is a series of photographs by Swedish photographer, Julia Hetta, whose works (inspired by the Dutch masters and Renaissance Art) showcase a romantic and playful take on jewellery: Necklaces are worn as headbands, rings adorn the knots of pussy-bow blouses, and brooches and earrings double up as hair pins and pendants. Also furthering the dialogue of art, fashion and history are drawings and photographs from the Maison’s archives. From now till 2 November.

LUXE TREATMENT
Zenith’s Defy High Jewelry series shows just how big a visual impact a handful of stones can make. Dressing up its Defy El Primero 21 and Defy Classic timepieces in precious gems, the watchmaker has breathed new life into its two popular models, infusing their sporty natures with a dollop of opulence. We especially like the Rainbow editions that see multicoloured baguette‑cut sapphires encircling the dials for a touch of playfulness.
"Rose gold and diamond Admiral AC-One 38 Automatic, $19,800, Corum"
ONE AND ONLY
Corum has just welcomed its first feminine model into its Admiral AC-One line. Available in either titanium or rose gold, the Admiral AC-One 38 Automatic is a counterpoint to the masculine 45mm range, with slight design adjustments to make it more curvaceous without compromising its sporty spirit. A diamond-lined bezel completes the picture.
"Cartier’s Clash de Cartier Studio is a pop-up showcase dedicated to its new collection"
THE CLASH
If the mere mention of Cartier gets you hot under the collar, then you’ll not want to miss the Clash de Cartier Studio at STPI – Creative Workshop & Gallery from 15 to 17 November. The pop-up exhibition—centred around Cartier’s newest fine jewellery collection launched earlier this year—will welcome you into the collection’s universe of duality and polarity, through the three themed spaces of Music, Art and Literature (the last sees poets stationed at a bookshop to provide guests with customised haikus before they leave). In addition to the full Clash de Cartier collection currently found in stores, visitors will get a sneak peek at the white gold pieces that will be launching in April 2020.
"White gold Slim d’Hermès Pégase Paysage watch, $80,800, Hermès"
KNOCK ON WOOD
Wood seems to be the material du jour for La Montres Hermès this season. Its Slim d’Hermès Pégase Paysage, for example, sees the portrait of the mythical winged horse depicted through wood marquetry (using a range of rare, precious woods including Macassar ebony, Amaranth and madrona burr) on a surface barely 40mm in diameter. No less intricate is the Arceau Astrologie Nouvelle watch with tulipwood wood marquetry on its 41mm monochrome dial. Available in a limited edition of eight pieces each.

"White gold Millenary Frosted Gold Philosophique watch, $41,400, Audemars Piguet"
ON ONE HAND
Inspired by the single-hand timepieces of the 17 th century, while paying a tip of the hat to an archival timepiece from the 1980s, Audemars Piguet’s new hand-wound Millenary Frosted Gold Philosophique reminds women to set their own tempo and move to their own beat. Available in white gold with a distinctive handetched blue dial, or pink gold with a similarly finished dial in brown, this beauty bears an intriguing secret: It’s equipped with a patented mechanism that allows its single hand to travel around the dial in an elliptical trajectory, to trace its oval case.

FOR THE WIN
In the midst of towering Supertrees, TAG Heuer kicked off this year’s Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix at Gardens by the Bay with a high-octane party attended by 200 guests. Australian actor and brand ambassador Chris Hemsworth was at the event with Dutch Formula 1 driver Max Verstappen of Aston Martin Red Bull Racing, where, to the delight of guests, they competed against each other in Formula 1-inspired games. Also there to entertain was local band The Sam Willows, who played their signature hits before DJ Boey took over the music reins.
