It was an evening to remember, as Harper’s BAZAAR Singapore, in collaboration with Swarovski, unveiled the winner of the Singapore leg of the Harper’s BAZAAR Asia NewGen Fashion Award. After a four-month search, emerging local talents Phua Chun Huen, Esther Choy and Joanna Lim showcased their final designs to a fashion savvy crowd at Adrift by David Meyers, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands—including Korean social media superstar Irene Kim, who flew in especially to show her support for the event. After a tough deliberation, Phua, who wowed the crowd with his exquisite denim-heavy designs, was announced the winner. Guests flocked to congratulate the designers before gathering around Instantly.sg’s photo booth to snap Instagram-worthy shots, and end the evening on a fashionable high.
