Mention Marrakech and you might instinctively think of the striking blue associated with Yves Saint Laurent’s Jardin Majorelle. But a short drive away from the iconic gardens lies Amanjena, a dreamy sanctuary where date palms and lagoons meander through 39 dusky pink dwellings.

Through elegant arches are multilevel Maisons and sprawling Pavilions adorned with marble bathtubs, fireplaces and lantern-lit lounges, while Berber carpets are scattered across mosaic floors beneath your feet. In the private courtyard is a heated pool, perfect for watching the salmon pink walls of this mystical resort melt into the fiery peach sunset on the Sahara.
