An oft-repeated legend about Austrian crystal brand Swarovski’s beginnings starts with the founder’s motivation to create a diamond for every woman in the world, and elevate them all to look like royalty. Fast forward some 122 years on, and this ambition to make the world sparkle has grown even brighter. Fall/winter 2017’s Urban Fantasy collection, and a refreshed Remix Collection, are inspired by the modern woman’s jet-set journey through the cosmopolitan cities of the world. The Urban Fantasy collection is full of pieces designed with versatility in mind. Think: Statement necklaces fashioned from multi-coloured crystals, elegant cuff bracelets that catch the light with a flick of the wrist, and rings that dance across fingers to sparkle seductively, whether it’s day or night. The sizzle of the collection’s urban sensibility is perfectly underscored by the new season’s campaign star, Ruby Rose, whose chiselled cheekbones and smouldering stare loom across billboards. Karlie Kloss also makes a return as the face of the new Remix Collection, capturing the different facets of the range with ease. Centred on four main themes—Crystal Glamour, Rock Chic, Romantic Emotions and Timeless Pearls—the Remix collection is a celebration of perso nalisation. “I have always been a strong activist of personal styles, so the new concept is one of my favourites with its endless mix of possibilities,” explained Creative Director Nathalie Colin. “Accessories are [a] great way to customise one’s look; helping women to be noticed for their outstanding styles.” And stand out you will, with strands of crystals, lustrous pearls, irreverent emoji charms and edgy geometric gems, which can be turned into necklaces, chokers, bracelets, or anklets with the twist of a magnetic clasp. A new addition to the collection are the adorable emoji charms that are peppered throughout the collection. These will definitely speak to a millennial audience who love graphic icons—Heart-eyes emoji?
