Impress the family with this gorgeous yuletide blossom log cake ($82 nett for 1kg, pictured above) from The Deli. It’s a masterpiece of strawberry chiffon sponge with yuzu-infused pear bits and a hazelnut Breton sable middle, adorned with butter cream blooms against a lovely white chocolate mousse.

Make space, too, for the soy-braised turkey served with toasted spiced almonds and homemade chili sauce ($238 nett for eight to 12 persons). It comes with pumpkin rice or egg noodles in soy sauce with blanched seasonal vegetables. Morgan’s Christmas Feast ($149.90++) is just the thing to get both youngsters and young-at-heart fired up with Yuletide cheer. It comes with half slabs each of hazelnut and cranberry sticky bones, 600g of crackling pork roast, and 200g of gammon ham, as well as an extensive spread of Mexican grilled corn, sausages, roasted potatoes, among other dishes.
