SPICY MANGO LEMONADE
The cayenne pepper helps boost metabolism, and the coconut water replaces the electrolytes lost through sweat, says registered dietitian Lori Zanini, who is based in the US.
> 240ml coconut water
> ½ cup chopped mango
> Juice of a lemon
> ⅛ tsp cayenne pepper
Blend coconut water, mango and lemon juice until smooth. Stir in cayenne pepper.
GINGER-LIME CHIA DRINK
Chia seeds may help blast belly fat. They’re also packed with ﬁbre – 5g per tablespoon – to keep you full.
> 1 tsp honey
> 1 cup water
> 1 tsp grated ginger
> Juice of 2 limes
> 1 tbsp chia seeds
> Fresh mint, for garnish (optional)
Stir together honey, water, ginger, lime juice and chia seeds. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Garnish with mint, if desired.
Research shows that the ﬂavonoids in grapefruit may act as a natural fat burner, Lori says.
> Juice of a medium grapefruit
> 1 basil leaf, plus more for garnish
> 2 cups ice
Blend juice, basil and ice until smooth. Garnish with additional basil.
