CNB LAUNCHED its first 66, Althane, in its Bordeaux shipyard and will exhibit the new sailing yacht at the Cannes Yachting Festival (September 12-17).
Designed by Philippe Briand, the CNB 66 was created by the French yard to be its largest yacht manoeuvrable without crew and joins the 76 as part of its semi-custom line, effectively replacing the Bordeaux 60.
Standout features on the 66 include the use of high-tech carbon and resin composite, the latter to help the yacht’s sailing performance, even in light winds.
Jean-Marc Piaton and Rafael Bonet created the interior, which features four cabins including an owner’s suite at the bow and a more secluded aft cabin for guests or crew. The central area has a saloon, separate galley and bar. The garage can house a 3.25m tender. CNB is also developing a new 94 model. www.cnb.fr
