Straighten those clothes!

“I love ironing clothes,” said no one ever. According to local online cleaning platform Helpling, it ranks as one of the most dreaded household chores, falling somewhere between cleaning the toilet and doing the dishes. But what if there was an easier way to straighten out all those creases and wrinkles? Try these innovative – and surprisingly easy – ways to iron your clothes instead.

My Reading Room
1. Shower power

Place the crumpled garment on a hanger and leave it in your bathroom while you take a warm shower. In under 10 minutes, the steam will help straighten out unsightly wrinkles and creases.

2. Super spin

Spray some water on creased clothes, put them in the dryer to tumble for a couple of minutes, and voila! They’re now straightened and ready to wear. Just remember to remove them from the dryer as soon as they’re done. Leave them in for too long and they’ll quickly wrinkle again.

3. Bedroom magic

Yet another reason to love your bed – it can help press your clothes and make them crease-free. Roll crumpled garments like you would a burrito and place them under your mattress. Leave them there for about an hour or so, and the weight will help flatten and de-wrinkle. Just make sure your mattress is clean and dust mite-free!
