FOR THE FIRST TIME

At 6,957 sq ft, the new Michael Kors Singapore flagship store at Mandarin Gallery is its largest in South-east Asia. The upper level showcases men’s ready-towear, bags, shoes and accessories. There’s even a pool table in the middle to keep your guy occupied while you shop the ground-level women’s section. The store carries the widest collection of Michael Michael Kors footwear, and Michael Michael Kors small leather goods such as wallets and card holders. The Scout cross-body bag, made to perfectly hold your Fujifilm Instax Mini, is exclusively available at the Mandarin Gallery boutique from November, from $349.

FREQUENT FLIER

Having spent most of his days living out of a suitcase, industrial designer Marc Newson would be best placed to design luggage. Cue a collab with Louis Vuitton. Made of self-reinforced polypropylene composite, the shock-absorbent rolling trunks are lighter than previous versions of LV’s suitcases. The interiors are completely flat (meaning 15 per cent more packing room) as the trolley handle has been moved outside. In Monogram canvas, Damier Graphite canvas, Taiga Ardoise leather, cowhide leather, and Epi leather. From $3,650-$5,850.

BLACK OUT

One the first manufacturers of divers’ watches, Swiss watchmaker Omega has come up with a new black ceramic collection – the Seamaster Planet Ocean “Deep Black”. These 45.5mm timepieces are water-resistant to depths of 600m, and feature helium valves at 10 o’clock, a diving scale (on the bezel) made using Omega’s Liquidmetal and Ceragold technology, and blue or red rubber blended into the bezel markers from 12 o’clock to 3 o’clock. Your red Planet Ocean will gradually blend into your wetsuit – red is the first colour no longer visible underwater at 5m, while the markers on your blue timepiece will be the last part of the watch you see before the ocean turns black at 300m. The 18K Sedna gold model has a water-resistant leather strap, while the other three colours – red and black, blue and black, and full-on black – have black rubber straps with contrast stitching (making them look like fabric) and an anti-bacterial coating. Available at Omega boutiques, with prices starting from $16,150.
