The Tag Heuer Connected watch is available from $2,550.

For 160 years, Tag Heuer has demonstrated pure avant-garde watchmaking spirit and in 2015, it launched the first luxury smartwatch. Now, the Swiss watchmaker has launched the third edition of the Tag Heuer Connected watch – a chronograph-inspired timepiece crafted in the purest watchmaking tradition.

Choose from a 45mm stainless steel or titanium case with a state of-the-art digital experience geared towards athletic performance. Versatility is a key feature: The touchscreen watch face, which is always displayed, offers five mechanical- or digital-inspired versions to choose from, and it comes with an intuitive interchangeable bracelet system. With a single clip motion, switch up the look with durable rubber straps in a range of colours, other than the classic core steel and black bracelets.

The new Tag Heuer Sports app provides detailed tracking of calories burned, during running, cycling, swimming and other fitness sessions, with the watch’s built-in GPS and heart-rate monitor. The all-day battery is optimised to include a one-hour sports session using GPS, audio streaming and heart-rate monitoring, and can be fully recharged in just 1.5 hours.

According to Tag Heuer’s chief strategy and digital officer Frederic Arnault: “The Tag Heuer Connected watch was designed and engineered with the same passion and attention to detail as our mechanical watches. The navigation has been deeply refined so the product is as intuitive and easy to use as possible, both in everyday life and during sports sessions. It expresses the brand in a completely new way and offers limitless possibilities in terms of innovation for the future.”
