A glittering canvas for artistic and creative expression, the encompassing Bohème watch collection is Montblanc’s answer to women’s horology desires.

The Bohème timepiece collection features modern looks which make it a perfect fit for any contemporary wardrobe and lifestyle.

Its understated elegance and sophisticated looks make it an easy contender for feminine wrists. Yet, it doesn’t take a close inspection to see that Montblanc’s ladies-dedicated Bohème timepiece collection is so much more than just another luxurious accoutrement for independent, modern women.

The automatic Bohème Full Calendar with date from the centre, and month and moonphase indicators at the 12 o’clock and six o’clock positions respectively.

For one, the wide variety of functions found within the family of watches speaks volumes of the multiple roles that women assume in their lives. Ranging from sturdy everyday pieces like the Bohème Automatic Date that throws clear functionality into the spotlight, to red carpet creations such as the Bohème Exo Tourbillon Slim Jewelry watch that no glamour-loving woman can possibly say no to, Bohème celebrates the multi-faceted, versatile nature of women, and acknowledges days that start in the boardroom before ending in a beautiful ballroom with a waltz.

The Bohème Exo Tourbillon Slim Limited Edition of 28 pieces is available in red gold and in steel

It’s a watch range that seeks to be the only collection a woman needs for all her horological needs—an ambitious desire that’s made all the more achievable with the editions that have been released into its esteemed ranks every year since its launch in 2014. Available in a variety of sizes (from petite 28mm to comfortable 38mm cases) and a myriad of executions (diamond encrusted dials included), its admirable eagerness to be the end all and be all of women’s timepiece needs only spells good things, not least for the fact that they will always be able to find a Bohème that speaks directly to their style sensibilities.

The collection spans a full range, from everyday designs to haute horlogerie creations like this Bohème Exo Tourbillon Slim Limited Edition 28 with 144 diamonds on its dial.

Take the wonderfully whimsical Bohème Moongarden unveiled in 2015, for example. Graced with a moonphase indicator at six o’clock, and a date ring along the dial’s edge, the watch also features a distinctive elliptical shaped aperture to show the month—not in the traditional names as we know them, but in the ancient names of each month’s full moon (with Ice moon for January, Seed Moon for April, Harvest Moon for October, and Oak Moon for December, etc). Its polished and refined mien belies the romantic nature of its design, while balancing form and function with beautiful precision.

The Bohème Automatic Date is available in two sizes: 30mm and 34mm, the latter of which also comes with diamond options.

Then, there’s Montblanc’s exclusive (and revered) in-house patented Exo Tourbillon that was introduced into the collection a short year later: The Bohème Exo Tourbillon Slim and Bohème Exo Tourbillon Slim Jewelry timepieces are equipped with the automatic calibre MB M29.24 that features an Exo Tourbillon that took Montblanc’s master watchmakers over three years of research and development to produce.

Red gold and diamond Bohème Perpetual Calendar Jewelry Limited Edition (100 pieces), $43,200.

And who can forget the anniversary edition that led the glamour parade on the occasion of the Manufacture’s 110th anniversary that year? A limited edition of just 10 pieces, the Bohème Exo Tourbillon Slim 110 Years Anniversary timepiece featured an artisanal dial adorned with a lacquer and gem-set serpent motif that took over a month to craft by hand.

The collection’s glamorous designs are perfect for red carpet occasions.

Fast forward to this year and the collection has once again been reinforced with 11 new references that span a Full Calendar with moonphase, four new Day/Night models and two Perpetual Calendars—the latter of which features a new ingenious in-house movement, the MB 29.22, that allows for adjustments via the crown in both directions, making setting the watch an easier and quicker task.
