1. Her World x Nodspark nail wraps, $15 each

HW celebrates 60 years with this collab with home-grown nail wraps brand Nodspark. Self Love (top) features rose quartz for emotional healing and love + howlite to let go of unnecessary attachments. Power Boost (bottom) features moonstone for patience and trust in your intuition + malachite to inspire leadership and confidence. At nodspark.com

2. Hera Shadow Duo, $48

My challenge with eyeshadow is that it invariably looks different on my skin than in the palette. These Hera duos – 12 in all – claim that WYSIWYG. The colour in the palette looks exactly the same on your skin, so there’s no need to guess. Even less guessing is needed as the eye duos all come in wearable neutral shades.

3. Clarins Extra-Firming Neck & Decollete, $145

This area is even more neglected than our hands. And it shows. The plant-powered cream, which Clarins developed after 68 formula prototypes, helps firm and smooth the skin on your neck and chest. It feels light and absorbs quickly too.

4. Oribe Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil, $81

Named after the late celebrity hairstylist, Oribe (say “or-bay”), this is the ultimate in luxe haircare. Ingredients such as argan and maracuja oils, Mediterranean cypress, and watermelon extract, soothe, repair, destress and restore damaged hair. The collection includes the usual shampoo, conditioner, hair mask and more, but I’m opting for the hair oil, which is less likely to weigh down my fine hair, yet will help make it smooth and shiny. At these salons: Kim Robinson, Shunji Matsuo, Chez Vous: Hideaway Hair Salon, and Evolve.

5. Dior Prestige Micro-Huile Rose Advanced Serum, $370 for 30ml; $490 for 50ml

One bottle is sold every minute around the world. Each contains 10,000 rose micro pearls that burst upon contact with skin, to help it repair micro inflammation caused by aggressors like pollution and UV rays.

6. Heroine Make Micro Mascara Advanced Film, $21.90

For short, stubby lashes, like mine. The secret is in the wand, which is as slim as a cotton bud. That helps the mascara get to really fine, hard-to-reach lashes. It claims to keep the curl all day too. Available in black and brown.

7. Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation Hydration and Longwear, $88 (from Sept 4)

It gives you the feel of bare skin, while making you look naturally luminous. Skin has a sheer finish with its ultra-fine pigments, light reflecting powders and hydrating ingredients. The effect is said to last up to 12 hours. The range has 35 shades, of which 25 are available in Singapore.
