When it comes to body washes, we dig lather and that squeakyclean feel. Yet, such products often strip the skin of its natural oils, causing dryness and irritation.

Bioderma’s Atoderm Huile de Douche, however, is a shower oil which feels like a rich gel that spreads easily, works up a decent foam and, despite its oil-based formula, rinses off without leaving a greasy film. It’s even gentle enough to be used as a facial wash.

Made for very dry, irritated or sensitive skin, this hypoallergenic, soothing body wash has plant-derived oils that leave a protective, hydrating layer post-shower. Other key moisturising ingredients are lecithin (a natural fatty substance that attracts water and oil) and vitamin B3, which helps prevent moisture loss.

It also has vitamins C and E to protect against free radicals, while a patented ingredient helps to remove S. aureus, a common bacteria that can cause skin infections if your skin barrier is weak, or has suffered a cut or an abrasion.

At major Guardian and Watsons stores, Unity, Welcia-BHG and www. lazada.sg/bioderma official store. It’s $39.90 for 1 litre.
