A Crush On Blush

We’ve heard a lot about highlighting and strobing recently, but if you want a sculpted look using your existing products, blusher can work as well. Starting near your ear, dust on your favourite pink blush, following the curve of your cheekbones. To add depth, suck in your cheekbones, then fill in the hollow areas. A nude lip and strong brow completes the look.

The Eyes Have It

A sheer wash of rose on lids, finished off with liquid liner is an understated take on pink. This “now you see it, now you don’t” look is at once flirty yet ladylike.

All About The Lip

If red had a cooler cousin, we think it would be fuchsia. This bright hue has blue undertones in it, which makes it flattering for most complexions, and has the added benefit of making teeth appear whiter. To get a crisp line, start with a lip liner and dab on a bit of concealer along the outer rim of your lips for the perfect pout.

Living Life To Her Fullest

She has enjoyed success on the catwalks of Taiwan and Japan, and more recently as a customs officer in the local drama series Point of Entry 4, but it’s yoga that has been keeping Liv Lo busy lately.

“Yoga happened by chance. Some of my role models like Christy Turlington were into it and I decided to try it out. My first class was tough, but the instructor was very patient and I left feeling awesome,” says the 30-year-old.

Since then, she has taken up teaching at Yoga Movement. “I started practising yoga to tone up, lose weight and achieve an ideal physique. But now, yoga has become a journey and lifestyle.”

Liv's best advice when it comes to beauty and skincare? Be knowledgeable. “There are so many products. I’ve learnt to educate myself on the different chemical formulas and skincare ingredients.”

Also, be confident in who you are. “Years back, the look was always crimped hair and false lashes. But that doesn’t suit everyone. Women are unique and beautiful in their own way, so find out what suits you best and own it!”

When asked what she thought about the theme of our shoot, Liv said: “Pink is special because it makes me think of beauty, sweetness and femininity. It reminds me of love and romance. I definitely rock pink when I need to!” W
