OUR FAVOURITES FROM UNIQLO’S LATEST LINE OF MOTIF-LADEN ACTIVEWEAR.
If you’re all about prints and patterns, Uniqlo’s new range of active and casual wear will have you expanding or refreshing your workout wardrobe – whether you really need to or not.
Launched in collaboration with global Uniqlo concept project SPRZ NY, this new collection was designed by renowned international artists such as French contemporary painter Francois Morellet, Finnish artist Niko Luoma and Dutch graphic design studio Experimental Jetset.
From Dry-Ex T-shirts and Airism leggings, to sports bras and bra tops, each piece in the line-up sports art and pop culture motifs inspired by the positive energy after a good workout.
Those who prefer something subtle will fall in love with the pieces showcasing the minimalist art style of the late Francois Morellet. Known for his contributions to geometric abstraction, these designs feature simple lines, tiny squares and triangles.
For your gym and studio workouts, pair the SPRZ NY Active Seamless Bra Cross Back ($29.90) featuring dynamic loops with the matching SPRZ NY Morellet Airism Leggings ($29.90), which has a wide waistband to hide any tummy bulge. You’ll move with ease in this comfy outfit, thanks to the light and breathable Airism material, which also helps with odour control.
Perfect for cooler days or sudden downpours, the SPRZ NY Francois Morellet Dry-Ex Full-Zip Long Sleeve Hoodie ($29.90, available only at the Orchard Central flagship outlet) remains dry and doesn’t cling to your skin even in the sweatiest situations with its enhanced perspiration-releasing fibres.
BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL
Go loud and proud, and add a splash of colour to your apparel with Finnish artist Niko Luoma’s flamboyant motifs that illustrate art and performance.
Don the versatile SPRZ NY Niko Luoma Dry-Ex Printed Short Sleeve T-shirt ($19.90) to transition easily between your afternoon date and your evening dance class or vice versa. It’s not only loose-fitting for comfort, but also made of breathable material that quickly wicks away any moisture.
And for fans of Uniqlo’s Airism Racer Back Bra Sleeveless Tops ($29.90), you can now get more in various prints, which are great for drawing attention away from any problem areas!
With its affordable pricing and good-quality threads, we’re definitely hoping for this retail giant to continue expanding its activewear line.
Uniqlo’s latest SPRZ NY collaboration is now available at all stores and online at www.uniqlo.com.sg, with selected items available exclusively at Uniqlo Orchard Central (Global Flagship Store).
