Use the brush with:

YSL Beaute Touche Eclat Le Teint foundation. Sharing the same technology as Touche Eclat, it gives skin an all-over dewy glow.

The scooped-out section (in the shape of the letter Y) is what makes this brush special. It supposedly enables the brush to hold the exact amount of liquid foundation required for the perfect level of coverage – not so thick that your face looks overly shiny, and not so thin that it doesn’t even out skin tone. The embossed Y also allows the foundation to sink into the bristles so it won’t drip all over.
