You can do more about your dark circles than merely turning a blind eye to them.

Wondering why all the sleep in the world hasn’t helped your panda eyes? It may have to do with the thin skin under your peepers, which makes the capillaries more visible, causing the area to look darker. It gets worse when you’re tired, as your body’s production of cortisol (the stress hormone) spikes, causing blood vessels to dilate temporarily. And as you age, your skin gets even thinner, aggravating the problem.

But there is hope. Lush Aesthetics’ Thermal Lift treatment ($388 for 40min) aims to make the skin around the eyes thicker and less translucent. It applies radio-frequency energy to the dermis – a process said to generate new collagen to thicken skin, as well as tighten existing collagen for a lifting effect. You may feel a warm sensation during the treatment, and you could see results over time, as the new collagen develops.

This treatment can also be applied to the entire face and body, or any specific area that needs to look lifted and toned.
