BEST PRE-PARTY FACIAL

EDITORS’ CHOICE: Hyaluronic Nano Micro-derma Needle-less Facial

($480 for 90min)

For intense hydration, hyaluronic acid and Murad Rapid Collagen Infusion, a skin-plumping serum, are delivered deep into the skin (and despite the name of the facial, this is done with help from a microneedling tool). Our tester said her skin appeared plumped-up and glowing, and fine lines around her eyes looked visibly diminished. The extraction was gentle and the heated treatment bed kept her comfortable throughout.

READERS’ CHOICE: Red Carpet Glowing Skin

($368 for 90min)

Put your best face forward with this luxurious facial anchored by two elements: the brand’s skincare and its signature Oxy Miracle Infusion treatment. The skincare includes the Get Glowin’ Brightening Mask to refine the look of pores and boost skin radiance; Pure Deepsea Hydrating Mask to hydrate and smooth; and Red LED Photo Rejuvenation Power Fix Mask, said to stimulate collagen production. The treatment comprises the Oxy Miracle Peel, where skin is exfoliated with pressurised oxygen and saline, and the infusion of the Get Glowin’ Custom-blended Serum. The latter is a tailored blend of chlorella (tackles dullness and hyperpigmentation), vitamin A (for overall improvement in tone and texture) and hyaluronic acid (for lasting hydration). Our tester reported skin that appeared smoother, brighter, and more lifted and refined – a result that lasted for nearly two weeks after the treatment.

BEST REJUVENATING FACIAL

EDITORS’ CHOICE AND READERS’ CHOICE: La Mer Miracle Broth

($564.96 for 90min)

As if a pure infusion of the famed La Mer Miracle Broth isn’t luxe enough, this facial – exclusively available at The Ritz-Carlton Spa – uses 13 La Mer products, including The Cleansing Micellar Water, The Illuminating Eye Gel, Creme de la Mer and The Moisturizing Soft Cream, to balance skin and rejuvenate its look. Throw in a soothing ocean-themed interior, relaxing background music, comprehensive facilities (steam room, sauna, mineral and sea-salt pools with jacuzzis) and impeccable service, and this experience earned a perfect score from our testers.

BEST OXYGEN-BASED REJUVENATING FACIAL

EDITORS’ CHOICE AND READERS’ CHOICE: Triple Oxygen Heaven

($235.40 for 60min)

At the heart of this facial is oxygen therapy – which, among other things, is said to trigger the skin’s healing abilities. It kicks off with an oxygen hydropeel, where a jet spray of oxygen is used to intensely cleanse and exfoliate skin while infusing it with vitamins. A soothing and skin-brightening oxygen wrap is up next, followed by a treatment that uses oxygen to drive nourishing, firming and skin-plumping colostrum deep into the skin. We came away with a refreshed, healthy-looking complexion imbued with a translucent glow.

BEST RELAX-AND-RECHARGE FACIAL

EDITORS’ CHOICE AND READERS’ CHOICE: Japanese Sake Facial

($278.20 for 90min)

Inspired by Japanese spa treatments, this – along with all other Erabelle treatments – commences with an aromatic footbath. During the facial, ingredients used to make sake are employed to brighten and clarify skin, as well as boost surface skin cell renewal. These include sake dregs, sake-derived kojic acid and even the drink itself, which is infused into the clay mask used. The face massage was so soothing, it lulled us into a deep and restful nap.

MOST EFFECTIVE ANTI-AGEING EYE TREATMENT

EDITORS’ CHOICE AND READERS’ CHOICE: Atlas Korean Beautiful Eyes Premium Therapy

($203.30 for 30min)

Radio-frequency technology, which is able to penetrate all skin layers, including the dermis, is used to tighten the skin in the eye area. An eye massage follows, where Korean massage techniques, which utilise longer strokes, help enhance blood circulation. A collagen eye mask completes the lifting effect. The skin in our eye area felt firmer for the next couple of days.

BEST BRIGHTENING EYE TREATMENT

EDITORS’ CHOICE: TCM Eye Treatment

($60 for 15min)

A quick five-step session that targets acupressure points in the eye area, this manual eye massage is said to be suitable for everyone, even children and the elderly. The look of our dark circles and eye bags was visibly improved, while the delicate skin in the eye area looked firmer. Thanks to that, we looked fresher and less tired – an effect that lasted for almost half a week.

Body Therapeutics, #B1-01/02 Marina Square (tel: 6737-0465)

READERS’ CHOICE: Rejuvenating + Resurfacing Treatment

($267.50 for 30min)

Great as a pick-me-up for fatigued eyes before a special occasion, this two-step procedure first uses a laser to break down pigmentation and stimulate collagen production, then uses radio-frequency energy to boost blood circulation and enhance the skin-tightening effect. Our tester liked how it was a quick fix for the appearance of dark circles and dark spots in the eye area.
