“I want to do away with the misconception that women need to spend a lot to look good,” says lawyer Natalie Tan, 30, who is also the founder of Sartorial Me. “Personal styling shouldn’t only be for the rich, nor should you be compelled to buy everything the stylist picks for you.”

That is why Tan – inspired by overseas fashion-tech start-ups – launched Sartorial Me to help time-strapped women here put together looks with less effort. “I saw the huge market of professional women who don’t know how to shop online effi  ciently, or have the financial means but not the time to shop at physical retail stores.”

Sartorial Me’s premise is simple: A local stylist curates and compiles outfits from three established online retailers – Asos, BNKR, and Luisa Via Roma – into a personalised lookbook for you. You are not obligated to buy anything, but for each item that you do buy via Sartorial Me, it receives a commission, the bulk of which goes to the stylist who recommended the piece.
