Following a slew of globe-traipsing cruise shows from Cuba to Dubai, Chanel headed back to Paris for its cruise 2018 collection, “The Modernity of Antiquity”.
Guests entered the Grand Palais, which had been transformed into a sun-bathed Isle of Greek Gods, where ancient ruins made way for Karl Lagerfeld’s modern Grecian goddesses dressed in diaphanous palazzo pants, armour-like bustiers, ethereal gowns, gladiator sandals and a myriad of gilded accents.
A post-show mezze served in a half-sculpture gallery, half-alfresco café setting, made for a perfect tete-a-tete session with modern Athenas dressed in tweeds and pearls of every colour and creation.
