After 21 years, kimage is still turning heads, both on the runways and on the streets.

Homegrown hair salon chain Kimage was the name to thank for the trendy yet wearable styles the models sported at the annual Female/Nuyou Catwalk, which was held in April this year. “Centre partings are huge this season, both on the streets and runways, so we knew we had to incorporate it in local fashion events!” says Monica Tan, director of the brand. This runway show is just one example of Kimage’s new brand direction. Besides this, the salon has also been involved in numerous other fashion events and shows, including The Fashion Circuit @ The Podium Lounge, and the popular TV series Asia’s Next Top Model. But at the same time, its customers have always been the salon’s top priority – and a key factor in its success.

Modern looks, just for you

Whether it’s the mid-length “lob” that has taken over Hollywood, or colourful ombre highlights, Kimage’s team of stylists will help you get the effect you want. In fact, the team is clued in on all the latest hair trends. And every style is customised to your preferences, which means AFTER 21 YEARS, KIMAGE IS STILL TURNING HEADS, BOTH ON THE RUNWAYS AND ON THE STREETS. A NEW IMAGE you’ll walk out of the salon with a look that is tailored specially for you, to suit your lifestyle and personality.

A new legacy

Like hairstyles, Kimage has evolved over the years. Established in 1994, the salon chain has gone from strength to strength to become the hairdresser of choice for the in-crowd in Singapore. Today, there are 10 Kimage hair studios, three premium Kimage Prestige salons (staffed entirely by expert stylists), and a Kimage hairdressing school. The school, which was the fi rst hairdressing institution to receive the Edutrust (Provisional) certifi cation by the Singapore Council for Private Education, helps the brand maintain professional and consistent standards for all its hair services. This year, Kimage marks its 21st anniversary with a new logo. Simple and modern, confi dent and classic, it symbolises the brand, its vision and legacy. Says Tan: “What better way to celebrate our coming of age than with an updated look? We’re in the business of reinventing images, and we have to set a good example by doing the same for ourselves.” Kimage has also lined up a host of exciting birthday events and campaigns to celebrate this special year.
