Ridiculously talented and with doll-like features, model, DJ and photographer Yuka Mizuhara is Japan’s newest IT girl.
I started collecting records about two years ago because a friend of mine was doing it. One night, he was playing with legendary Japanese DJ Towa Tei in Tokyo and they were only playing vinyl. I had some on me and they invited me to play with them, so I did. I loved it so much that I continued and here I am today!
I love soul: James Brown, of course; Marvin Gaye; Earth Wind Fire... “September” is the best song. It just makes you want to dance.
My sister Kiko Mizuhara’s wardrobe! Although I kind of do already. She has a really good collection of clothes; while she doesn’t let me borrow everything, it’s still like having two wardrobes, which is super cool. I’m very lucky.
I tend to wear slim t-shirts with bigger pants, or slim pants with an oversized tee. I like a balanced silhouette, plus it makes my waist appear slimmer and my butt look bigger, which I love!
