Four girls show how to make this season’s coolest trends work in real life.

Four girls show how to make this season’s coolest trends work in real life.

Graphic Eye
Make a bold statement by using a soft kohl liner in neon turquoise to draw from the lash line to just above the crease line and colour in. A wing shape will keep this look wearable. “The stronger the statement, the simpler the rest of the face has to be,” says Terry Barber, Director of Makeup Artistry for M.A.C. But that doesn’t mean the skin should be raw. “The current ‘no-makeup’ base still gives a polished feel to the face,” adds Terry.
TRY: Urban Decay Jean-Michel Basquiat 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Vivid; Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil in M-26 Matte Pastel Blue, $36; and Too Faced Sketch Marker Liquid Art Eyeliner in Sky Blue, $32.

Doll Lashes
Go for a double dose of falsies on the lower lids – a set of full lashes paired with singles give a more natural finish.
TRY: M.A.C 32 Lash and 30 Lash; and Dolly Wink Lash No. 5 Real Nude, $24.90.
TIP: Coat eyelashes with mascara before applying falsies so they blend seamlessly.

Floating Liner

Neon Eyes
Instead of just using a coloured mascara, create this eye-popping look by combining splashes of colours on the inner corners of the eye, undereyes and lashes.
TRY: NARS Larger Than Life Long-wear Eyeliner in Khao San Road, $40; Shiseido Paperlight Cream Eye Color in YE303 Yamabuki Yellow, $35; Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Lash Multi Effects in Purple, $44; M.A.C Eye Shadow X 6 in #Chromatbabe Super Pack, $75; and M.A.C Zoom Lash in Metropolis.
TIP: To make the lash colour pop, apply a mascara base ( usually in white ) before the coloured mascara.
