What makes the world go round for model and TV presenter Rima Zeidan.
WHERE TO
RZ: Wherever nature is! Ancient cities, underwater worlds, majestic mountains, epic waterfalls and wildlife.
WAY TO STAY
RZ: I went to Spain and the US last year, and mostly stayed at Airbnbs. It creates a more social and authentic travel experience. I love living like a local, but by myself or with family and friends in our own private space. Knowing your travelling needs and choosing wisely may surprise you – most of my Airbnb stays amazed me.
TRAVEL WARDROBE
RZ: It really depends on my destination, but usually consists of lightweight, functional yet stylish casual bags like the Kipling Art M tote bag, sunglasses, swimsuits, comfortable clothes, sportswear, hats, flip-flops, trainers and a light shawl that goes with everything.
MY LOOK
RZ: I pretty much just throw on something to fit the activity, but it also depends on my mood. I would say a little ‘hippie hobo Rima style’. I love earth tone colours.
MUST HAVES
RZ: GoPro, backpack/duffel bag and resistance band.
PICK ME UP
RZ: I like body mists while travelling, for their simple, refreshing smell.
DESERT ISLAND ESSENTIAL
RZ: I would probably bring my boyfriend or a satellite phone.
SKIN SAVER
RZ: Moisturising is one of the most important things you can do for your skin to keep it hydrated because when there is adequate water inside and out, skin looks healthier, more vibrant and is less prone to wrinkles. Especially as I’m always out in the sun, sunscreen and foundation are important too.
JUST FOR ME
RZ: Reading a good book and quiet time on a balcony is my favourite way to spend ‘me’ time. Of course a foot or full-body massage is amazing as well!
UNFORGETTABLE EATS
RZ: There are way too many, but since I recently returned from Spain, I’d suggest Maison El Puente in Dúrcal! I got back from Thailand a week ago and loved Harmonique in Bangkok. Both left a good impression.
TRAVEL BUG
RZ: Whether for business, with family and friends or alone, travelling makes me happier and enhances my mental well-being. I gain new experiences and memories, and it teaches me to be more flexible, breaking out my usual routine, while meeting people from all around the world.
