You’ll even learn how to bake hot-cross buns with your child in the Open Pastry Kitchen after lunch – it’s limited to the first 10 parent-child pairs ($10 per pair). The buffet lunch costs $68 per adult, and $34 per child from ages six to 12; book and pay by April 9 to enjoy a 15-per-cent discount. Visit www.carltonhotel.sg.

The funds raised will be used to help children who suffer from major chronic and potentially life-threatening illnesses. Choose from three different courses (100km, 50km and 25km) and qualify by raising the minimum donation amount needed (from $55 for ages 13 to 20). Registration closes on April 1. This is brunch, jazzed up – literally. Montreux Jazz Cafe’s new Weekend Jazz Brunch lets you and your spouse chill out to good music, while the kids are entertained with fun activities (the latter is available only on Sundays).
Choose a starter, main course and dessert for $78++, or pay $98++ for free-flow of alcoholic beverages and soft drinks.
We like the portobello stack appetiser, crab spaghettini and steak frites. You also get access to the live stations with raclette cheese and carved meat. The children’s menu is priced at $16++ for soup, a main course and dessert. Call 6733-0091, or e-mail reservations.sg@montreuxjazzcafe.com.
