My Reading Room
There’s a kaya cocktail – the Yakun Kaya, with pandan-infused bourbon, coffee bitters and orgeat syrup – but there are also flashes of originality. The Royal Autumn, inspired by the Japanese Garden in Jurong East, mixes shiso liqueur, bitters and sugar. The Long Q, a dig at Singaporeans’proclivity for queueing, is a take on chicken rice that uses corianderinfused gin and sesame oil. The bar will also be increasing its cache of independent bottlings, homemade infusions and barrelaged cocktails. 36 Keong Saik Road.
