SOMETHING LIGHT Give the Rainbow Chiffon Cake ($6.90) at Polar Puff & Cakes a try. The store’s first foray into rainbow desserts, it took three months to perfect and is painstakingly prepared layer by layer. Beautifully airy, it will leave you with room for dinner.

SOMETHING DECADENT The donuts from J.CO Donuts & Coffee (from $1.80) never fail to hit the spot. Try its latest J.Club Cheezy Rich and J.Club Red Velvet ($2.30 each; top row, from left). The former is covered in shredded cheese and has an addictive sweetand- savoury flavour.

SOMETHING FRESH On those #eatclean days, head to The Soup Spoon and go for the medley of fried tofu cubes, mandarin orange slices and sweet chilli dressing that is the refreshing Asian Tofu salad ($7).
