TURF’S UP

If an afternoon filled with pizzas and animal rides doesn’t sound like the ultimate Sunday-fun day, we don’t know what does.

Making the most of its location in Horse City on Turf Club Road, Tin Hill Social serves up modern European dishes on a veranda, accompanied by cocktails that can be ordered by the pitcher.

This, while the kids swing around the playground, pet rabbits and ride ponies till the sun sets.

FARM VILLE

Garden meets gastronomy on so many levels at Open Farm Community. Not only do diners develop a deeper understanding of farm-fresh food through eating, families develop more meaningful relationships with local produce by discovering an outdoor farm flourishing with fruit, herbs and vegetables. While parents savour unique dishes like the OFC Garden Holy Basil Gnocchi, little ones can work up an appetite at the adjoining sand playground before tucking into dishes like the Open-face Lasagna with Bolognese and Béchamel Sauce from the Little Diners menu. On weekends, there are urban farming workshops, farmers markets and lawn bowling to keep everyone busy in the sun.

TROPICAL LIFE

Slip on your best grass skirt and seashell necklace to live out your Moana fantasies at Ola Beach Club. It has everything the young and young at heart could ask for:

Hawaiian-inspired feasts and tropical Tiki cocktails; beach-facing cabanas by the pool with the sea just steps away; DJ parties after sunset; and a plethora of water sports activities. And just when you think a trip to the beach can be slightly inconvenient with the kids in tow, this place surprises with a fully-equipped nursing room, nappy-changing facilities and toddler-friendly dining tables—juicy burgers, bouncy castle and swim floats included.
