If you’re feeling tired all the time and generally weak, it might be more than just a result of being stressed and overworked. According to a recent survey by the Singapore Anti-Tuberculosis Association CommHealth, half the women in the country might suffer from an iron deficiency and not even know it. Those most prone to it include women who are pregnant or have heavy periods. To battle symptoms like fatigue, hair loss and brittle fingernails, consider making a few tweaks to your diet. Including more iron-rich foods like red meat, seafood and dark green leafy vegetables can get your health back on track. How do you know if you’re anaemic? A simple blood test is all it takes.
