ITALIAN DESIGNER MAURO GIAMBOI has created the 118ft power catamaran Ego, inspired by his previous award-winning Curvelle Quaranta design and elements of Italian cars.
“New clientele tend to be less formal in their approach to yachting,” said Giamboi, whose design team focused on the concept of ‘informal luxury living’.
The 36m yacht has a 12.8m (42ft) beam and large guest areas, including a full-beam salon and two principal cabins on the main deck. The portside hull houses two guest cabins, while the starboard hull accommodation caters for up to six crew.
In order to be lightweight and fuel efficient, the yacht is designed to be built out of composites or aluminium.
