SPORTS CAR BRAND BUGATTI and motoryacht builder Palmer Johnson have collaborated on the Bugatti Niniette 66, the first in a new series of yachts from 50-80ft.
The 20m Niniette, which has a draft of 1.3m, can reach a top speed of 44 knots and was inspired by the Bugatti Chiron, which had its world premiere in March 2016. “The Niniette is a genuine member of the Bugatti family,” said Etienne Salomé, Design Director at Bugatti.
The spacious open deck – which uses carbon fibre, leather and blue morta oak wood – has Bugatti-designed helm chairs and a futuristic command centre with an infotainment system for navigation, monitoring, control and entertainment.
The lower part of the deck houses a combined Jacuzzi, sun pad and champagne bar, flanked by social areas on the sides, while the fire pit forward is an eye-catching feature. Below deck is a spacious salon with a horseshoe-shaped sofa, while aft is a full-beam stateroom with a sofa and en-suite.
Palmer Johnson’s hull design combines a slender main hull with left and right sponsons that aid stability and roll dampening at high speeds. Timur Mohamed, CEO of Palmer Johnson, explained: “This construction also allows for a wider build compared to other yachts in this class, thus offering the experience of a much larger yacht.”
