Singaporean Actress and Host of WomenTalk TV

Eunice Olsen has worn many hats. She’s been a nominated Member of Parliament, worn the sash as Miss Universe Singapore, acted on both the big screen and small, and was even a Great Women Of Our Time Awards 2014 Education and Public Service nominee. But above all, she’s a fighter.

Gift of Gab: While Eunice has always been an advocate for women’s causes, she took her passion to the next level by launching WomenTalk TV four years ago. “We started this show because we wanted women to not feel alone in certain situations and to give them a platform to be seen and heard so they could inspire and empower each other with their stories,” she says.

Model Behaviour: The desire to help others was instilled in Eunice at a young age, but she decided to take it even further after her stint as a pageant queen. “After the Miss Universe Singapore pageant in 2000, I had the privilege of speaking at the then-Toa Payoh Girl’s Home. I started volunteering more and it changed the course of my life,” says the Chinese-Swedish beauty. “I’m very fortunate that the breadth of my work allows me to learn new things about the world every day.”

Pay It Forward: Not one for big, grand gestures of goodwill, Eunice says it’s the little things that matter when it comes to making lasting changes. “I think we worry too much about making a big impact that we forget the little things that all of us can do every day and consistently to make a difference. As a media personality, I feel it is a personal responsibility of mine to speak up for the people whose voices may not otherwise be heard,” she explains.
