GREEN IS THE NEW BLACK

The earth is heating up, and that is a fact.

The earth is heating up, and that is a fact. While climate change deniers argue that rising temperatures are a myth, evidence can be found in a 2019 research project by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration of USA (NASA) confirming that “the balance of energy in the Earth system is out of whack: Our lower atmosphere is warming, the ocean is accumulating more energy, land surfaces are absorbing energy, and Earth’s ice is melting.”

This is alarming news, especially for countries, like Singapore, which are surrounded by the ocean. While large-scale initiatives, like the Earth Hour and the Go Green campaign, are drumming up awareness on the subject, it is important to note that small changes we make to our lifestyle can also help salvage the situation.

One of the best things we can do is to start making those changes from within our homes and in the way we live.

With our combined efforts in reducing waste and conserving energy, we can help to prevent climate change from passing beyond the tipping point. That is why my team and I are dedicating this issue to ways we can live stylishly and sustainably.

At the end of the day, remember that a beautiful home is nothing without this planet we inhabit.
