How is King Living’s range of mattresses different?
King Living’s Sleep+ collection – like the furniture it carries – is built to last. Various parts of the mattresses can also be changed when required. The bedding options are designed to suit changing lifestyle needs and individual preferences, and not many mattresses on the market offer such flexibility.
How can it be customised to my needs?
Depending on the level of support your body needs, and your preference of mattress firmness, you can switch the layers within the Sleep+ mattresses to achieve the level of comfort you require. They are made of breathable layers comprising the brand’s patented KingCell Pocket Springs in the Kingflex Base that offer support for the body; Fit Covers, which have air-circulating properties; and a mattress topper called the Comfort Layer, which comes in four firmness options – Premium, Memory, Latex and Hybrid.
What do these different layers do?
Available in all three models – 6000, 8000 and 9008 – the Sleep+ KingCell Pocket Springs are individually wrapped and zoned, to offer a firmer or softer side on adjacent surfaces. As your sleeping preferences change, you may prefer a firmer or softer mattress over time. Simply flip the Kingflex Base to the side you like, instead of buying a brand new mattress.
As for the Fit Covers, there are two options – the AirFit and CoolFit. The former has air-circulating properties so heat does not get trapped in the mattress and allows you a comfortable night’s sleep, while the CoolFit is perfect for warm summer climates like in tropical Singapore; it draws heat away from the body and is cool to the touch.
The Comfort Layers offer different levels of firmness. Premium, which has a combination of luxurious, denser foams, is suitable for sleepers who prefer firmer mattresses. Memory, like its name suggests, is a memory foam mattress topper that distributes weight evenly across the mattress, and is slightly softer than Premium. Latex is soft and comfortable, yet still provides sufficient support. The softest of the four is Hybrid, which comprises latex and memory foam.
What if my partner prefers a slightly firmer mattress?
There are add-on accessories available, such as leather mat inserts that come in a half-mattress size. They can be attached to one side of the mattress (between the Comfort Layer and spring section). The result is a 5-per-cent difference in firmness. This is also perfect for pregnant women who might prefer increased back support. What mattress sizes are available?
Currently, we offer the standard king and queen sizes, as well as Australian King, which is catered to taller individuals. This size mattress shares the same width as king-size mattresses, but is slightly longer.
How do I maintain the mattresses?
Every layer in a Sleep+ mattress comes with a removable cover that is washable, so you won’t have to worry about mites or dead skin cells being trapped in the mattress. You can even remove all the layers and clean out accumulated dust or mites that settle at the bottom, ensuring that your mattress is thoroughly cleaned and always hygienic.
What about the casing?
Sleep+ mattresses are coated with KingGuard, a patented protective layer that is repellent to water, dust, mould and mildew; this keeps bacteria and germs from penetrating the case and its various layers.
