BIO.

Dramatic and ornate, the Dolce & Gabbana-styled Smeg refrigerators are something art aficionados will lust after and minimalists will turn their noses up at – yet, both sides will agree that it is jawdroppingly impressive. Each artwork is hand-drawn and painted by Sicilian artists, and depicts images inspired by Italian heritage, from Sicilian carts and famous folklore illustrations to marionette theatres. Very apt for two made-in-Italy brands, we say!

The artists – including Alice Valenti, who also works in interior design and theatre, and ceramicists Antonio and Giuseppe Bevilacqua – are all trained in traditional decorative arts.

You’ll spot medieval knights, battle scenes, the Trinacria symbol, and classic floral motifs on the fridges.

There are only 100 of these fridges in the world.

TRIVIA.

These unique patterns were also seen in Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring/Summer 2016 fashion collection.

Each refrigerator costs a whopping US$34,000 (S$48,000)!

THE SMEG FAB 28 BY DOLCE & G ABBANA IS A VAILABLE FOR ORDER A T DISTRIBUT OR APS LIFESTYLE.
