STEP 1 This is an intra-oral treatment exclusive to the Fotona laser. A probe, roughly the width of an electric toothbrush handle, is placed inside your mouth. You’ll feel a warm sensation (like drinking warm water). The Er:Yag laser is administered on the inner surfaces of your cheeks and lips to stimulate collagen to contract, which gives skin a plumper, tighter appearance. This helps reduce the look of wrinkles and laugh lines. Think of this as a lift from within.
STEP 2 The Nd:Yag laser in Fotona’s Frac3 mode targets the epidermis, focusing on the cheekbone and jaw areas for improved tone and a more V-shaped jawline.
STEP 3 The same Nd:Yag laser (but in Fotona’s Piano mode) targets the deeper dermis layer for a controlled deep heating of the tissues. The result: plumper, less saggy skin.
STEP 4 Think of this as an extremely controlled light peel. The Er:Yag laser is used to give skin a smooth, pearl-like finish.
The treatment is said to be painless, and reportedly gives immediate results. There is no downtime, but you may see slight redness for a day. If you have had fillers or botox done, wait for about two weeks before going for Fotona 4D.
